I must be getting older as I have started to do ‘projects’ in the shed. The latest is to build a wine rack from an oak beam. Follow this post over the coming weeks to see the progress and (hopefully) the finished article.

Evernote… notes forever on any platform
I have started using Evernote a great deal. It is a cloud based notebook which is available on virtually any platform. With the capability to hold text, graphics, sound and other documents there is not much you can’t put into a note. See the Evernote web site to download and try for free.
Online accounting software
For ages I have been looking for a better financial accounting package. Sage is cumbersome to use for a non-accountant and has to be installed on a single PC. Multi-company and multi-user versions are very expensive. What I needed was a cloud based system which could be accessed from anywhere and by anyone I give the username and password to.
Dropbox…. my most used web-gadget
I have recently become a fan of ‘Dropbox’. Its a ‘shared drive’ that’s always available.. online, on any of your PC’s and your iphone. Best of all, its free and there is a scheme where you can increase your free space by referrals. Follow the link to learn more and to get an additional 250mb
